Armfield and Timken Foundations Support TreesNC Cultural Project

TreesNC's project to restore and re-purpose the historic 1839 Asheboro Female Academy and Garden has received generous grant support from The Edward M. Armfield Sr. Foundation and The Timken Foundation of Canton.

Our grants from these prominent foundations, combined with generous financial support received from private citizens, school students  and the Weed N' Win Garden Club will take us close to our estimated budget for professional renovation of what is arguably one of the most historically significant buildings in North Carolina.  As envisioned by our team, the restored 1839 Asheboro Female Academy and Park will serve as an educational and environmental asset for all citizens of North Carolinian (and beyond)  - for generations to come.
