Feel Good Do Good at the Trees NC Holiday Bash and Barter

With Randolph County roots and an eight year legacy of environmental stewardship, Trees NC is well known for bringing folks together to plant trees, educate youth, and grow gardens in our community.

But Trees NC also knows how to throw a party – and the group’s Holiday Bash and Barter is their signature social event of the year.
“Our Bash and Barter event provides an opportunity for friends to get together and celebrate the achievements of the past year,” said Nancy Revell, a Trees NC supporter and hostess of the 2012 event.
Over the last year Trees NC has continued to make a mark in the community through programs such as Youth Environmental Service  YES! , a program for members of the Central Boys and Girls Club, the East Side Community Garden, and YES! I Can – a scholarship competition that that funds student environmental  programs across the state.
A highlight of the Holiday Bash and Barter event is an auction that helps provide funds to support programs in the local community.   Auction items for the 2012 Bash include a variety of items ranging from music, art, clay, wood,  fur - and a 1979 Porsche 911.
“Bring a smile, bring a check book – you are going to like what you see,” said Candice Hammond.
The event will take place at 6:30 on Saturday, December 8th, at the Church of the Good Shepherd Fellowship Hall, located at 505 Mountain Road in Asheboro.   Catered by Something Different Catering and including an open bar, tickets are 35$.
A limited number of tickets are still available for the event by calling 336-953-4271 or emailing Pamela @treesnc.org.
