NC ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION 2017 WE THANK YOU!!

Trees NC's annual NC Arbor Day Celebration held Saturday, March 18th has to go down as one of our best ever!  This year we moved our event outside and joined forces with partners Keep Randolph County Beautiful and NC Stormwater SMART to donate trees and educate folks about the importance of protecting North Carolina's  natural environment.

Donating 500 trees to the public was a lot of fun - and we did it with the help of volunteers from Asheboro's amazing Zoo School.   However, the work (and messy fun) didn't just happen during the Celebration.  Trees NC thanks the students and teachers of McCrary Elementary School's UNITE Club and the Zoo School for helping us prep 500 trees and planting guides for distribution to the public.  And, we thank our corporate partner for NC Arbor Day, Randolph Electric Membership Corporation!

The many many stories we heard from proud stewards of our previously donated NC Arbor Day trees serves a testament to the great impact this Trees NC outreach program is having in Randolph County.  Thank you to all who make it happen.
