TreesNC Announces North Carolina Arbor Day Photo Contest!

In celebration of North Carolina Arbor Day, TreesNC announces its 2016 NC Arbor Day Photo Contest.  The contest is open to North Carolina tree lovers of all ages.  “We encourage folks to get creative and submit photos that express a vision of what trees represent to them,” said TreesNC board chairman Bob Langston.

Rules for the competition are simple – all photos must be emailed in medium size files (~160 kb) to treesncphoto@gmail.com

Entries will be judged in the following age categories:  18 years and under, 19 and older. First Prize for each category is $100 and Second Prize is $50.  To qualify for the competition, participants are asked to include their name, age category, location where the photo was taken, and email and telephone contact info.   Photos need to be emailed by Wednesday, March 16th.

Sponsors for the NC Arbor Day Celebration photo contest  include TreesNC and the Courier-Tribune. 

Contest winners will receive their awards during the NC Arbor Day Celebration to be held on Friday March 18st at 5 PM Randolph Mall’s Center Court, or by US Mail.   This event promises both fun and educational opportunities for the entire family, and will include a 450 Tree-Give-Away, educational tables from local environmental organizations, a flag ceremony and music by the Charles W. McCrary Elementary School’s UNITE Club Drum Group.
