Trees NC Receives Grant from Randolph Community Foundation

Trees NC was recently recognized as a grant recipient of the Community Foundation for Randolph County at the organizations 2013 grant awards ceremony.

The local foundation is an affiliate of the N.C. Community Foundation. Its main goal is to provide grants that help improve the quality of life in Randolph County, according to Randolph Board President Chris Griffin.

"Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported the Community Foundation of Randolph County," said Griffin.

For Trees NC the grant means being able to continue building on the community outreach program the organization has built up over the past several years, especially in the underserved, at-risk area of East Side.

Trees NC is proud to be a partner with the Foundation in doing its part to make the community a better place to live.
