A Super Visit to Trees Asheboro Youth Program

Trees Asheboro's East Side Future Leaders program was honored last week by a visit from Superintendent of Asheboro City Schools, Dr. Diane Frost. Dr. Frost shared stories of her personal journey in education with twenty members of the Central Boys and Girls Club, ranging from eight to fifteen years of age.

The students are participating in a year long civic and environmental leadership program sponsored by Trees NC and local chapter Trees Asheboro. As a second generation educator, and a woman who worked her way from teacher to the top job in the Asheboro city school system, Dr. Frost was an outstanding role model and mentor for the group. Thank you Dr. Diane Frost!

The East Side Future Leaders Program is supported by a grant from the NC Civic Education Consortium.
