Growing Seeds of Hope

TreesNC is so much more than a tree group!   We are all about planting seeds of hope for low income children across North Carolina.  And, this vision becomes action in our East Side Garden- located on the grounds of a historic former Rosenwald School in Asheboro.

Our garden provides year-round outdoor learning opportunities for members of the Central Boys and Girls Club who participate in our Youth Environmental Service (YES!) program.  From garden prep,  to planting seeds,  to tasting the harvest - the kids take a leading role in making the East Side Garden a very special resource in Asheboro's East Side Community.  And, we are grateful for the dedicated support of the volunteers who are crucial to making the East Side Garden a success.

Editors note:  A special Thank You goes to Maxine Wright  - East Side Garden Program Coordinator for 2016!!
