Trees NC Joins Acme McCrary's "Green Team"

The name Acme McCrary is legendary in the world of textiles. Founded in 1909, the Asheboro based company grew steadily to become one of the country's largest privately owned textile manufacturers - providing jobs that helped thousands of families in their pursuit of the American Dream.
Today, Acme McCrary is taking on a new challenge by setting its sights upon leadership in Green Manufacturing.

Over the last year, the company's Green Team has focused on energy efficiency, recycling, and programs designed to improve the natural environment.

Trees NC representatives were invited to participate in Acme McCrary's Green Team project, and the resulting collaboration led to a valuable exchange of ideas - and action.

In celebration of Acme McCrary's 100th anniversary, Trees NC donated 300 Bald Cyprus trees to company employees. With the support of the City of Asheboro, Acme McCrary sponsored a major tree planting initiative at its Pritchard Street Plant.

Trees NC is proud of its affiliation with Acme McCrary Corporation. Here's to the next 100 years!
